MRS MARIE G [full name blocked out] AND SIX CHILDREN ARRIVED TODAY FROM MAURITIUS HOLDING LETTERS OF AUTHORITY NUMBERS 710 TO 716 TO ACCOMPANY HUSBAND HOLDER L OF A NUMBER 709.

HUSBAND DID NOT ACCOMPANY BUT PRECEDED THEM. IMMIGRATION INSPECTOR CONSIDERED THEM WORST GROUP ENCOUNTERED FROM MAURITISU [sic] PREDOMINANTLY NEGROID IN APPEARANCE SPEAKING ONLY FRENCH AND COULD BE AN INTEGRATION PROBLEM.

IN ABSENCE OF KNOWLEDGE OF WHETHER HUSBAND HAD TYPE 'A' PERMIT THEY WERE GRANTED TEMPORARY ENTRY PERMITS 30 DAYS. HUSBAND MET THEM, HE IS SLIGHTLY BETTER IN APPEARANCE BUT DID NOT HAVE HIS PASSPORT.

HE WAS REQUESTED TO BRING BOTH PASSPORTS TO OFFICE.

IF AS PRESUMED HE WAS GRANTED PERMANENT ENTRY PERMIT ON ARRIVAL WOULD APPEAR CAN ONLY HONOUR LETTERS OF ADMISSION AND GRANT FAMILY SIMILAR FACILITY[.]
