All aboard for family fun inspired by our latest exhibition Camel Trains to Steel Wheels: life on the Trans-Australian Railway.
Listen to the story of The Shop Train, written by First Nations authors Josie Wowolla Boyle and Paul Seden, and read by Ngambri-Ngunnawal traditional custodian Paul Girrawah House. Then join Paul to explore First Nations cultural objects, like those featured in the story.
Afterward, take part in a community art project with Paul. Families will also have the opportunity to create their own take-home craft to remember the day, try out colourful temporary tattoos and strike a pose in our amazing photo booth!
This event is suitable for ages 4 to 10 years. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. We ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, following the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework.
