"T.101 26-7-18aaa Defence desires present war Victorian Cross Winners return Australia on furlough to enable them to spend few months there and to help in recruiting aaa If Lieut. Throssell desires accept this furlough send him accordingly and report date of departure DEFENCE [capitalised] by cable repeating this office.
