The Australian Government Recordkeeping Metadata Standard (AGRkMS) Version 2.2 describes information about records and the context in which they are captured and used in Australian Government agencies.
The standard is designed to be used as a tool by personnel involved in information and records management, data management and information and communication
The standard will help agencies meet business, accountability and archival requirements in a systematic and consistent way by maintaining reliable, meaningful and accessible records.
It is divided into two parts:
- Part 1 describes the purpose and features of the standards.
- Part 2 outlines the metadata elements and sub-elements.
A minimum metadata set has been developed to support the management, interoperability and transfer of, and access to, information in your agency.
