This 30-minute guided tour of the exhibition Underworld: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties will illuminate the dark underbelly of post-war Australia. Learn about some of the colour and sordid characters exposed in the unique mugshots on display, the likes of which exist nowhere else in world.
The tour will also trace links between the criminal underworld of the 1920s and the national archival collection through World War I service records, customs records and early ephemera.
Saturday and Sunday mornings just got a little more dangerous at the National Archives.
