Teressa Ward

Following a decade in the senior executive of various social policy departments, Teressa Ward joined the National Archives of Australia as an Assistant Director-General in 2015. She led a team of 190 staff in multiple locations to modernise approaches to archival appraisal and ingest, analogue and digital preservation, storage and lending; and subsequently assumed responsibility for Commonwealth information policy and management. In 2018-19, Teressa moved to lead a small taskforce which will work across the Archives to embed digital archiving capability and accelerate the digital transformation in the Archives, with a future roll out across Australian Government agencies.
