‘... the smallest act of kindness does make a difference’
The National Archives of Australia is presenting the exhibition, Courage to Care, in its Canberra building from 13 August to 25 September 2005. Courage to Care is a travelling exhibition developed by the B’nai B’rith Jewish Service organisation.
Courage to Care focuses on the importance of tolerance and understanding of minority groups in our multicultural society.

The exhibition is about caring for our fellow human beings, and how this sometimes takes courage. It tells the story of courageous people whose actions saved persecuted Jews during the holocaust. Through these stories, the exhibition demonstrates the universal message of the power of the individual to make a difference to the lives of others.
As part of the exhibition, an educational program is being offered free of charge to school groups from years 5 to 12. Students hear stories first hand from holocaust survivors who owe their lives to the courageous actions of others. Students also participate in a Living in Harmony workshop in which they explore the relevance of courage to care principles in their own lives. They are conducted by specially trained volunteers from the Courage to Care exhibition team.
