Conditions of use

  • 'User’ means the agency or individual downloading and using Check-up.
  • The National Archives of Australia grants Australian Government agencies permission to install and use Check-up. Before downloading and installing Check-up, agencies are required to acknowledge these conditions of use.
  • The user may make back-up copies of Check-up.
  • The user may not transfer Check-up to another party, other than consultants or contractors engaged to assess the user’s information and records management.
  • Any consultants or contractors engaged must return or destroy Check-up at the termination of their engagement.

Liability and indemnity

  • The National Archives of Australia accepts no responsibility for technical problems that may occur during installation of Check-up, or its subsequent use within the user’s systems.

Limited warranty

  • The National Archives of Australia has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that Check-up is free of corruption or any harmful code.
  • The National Archives of Australia cannot warrant that Check-up, or your use of it, will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Recogniton of master control

  • The user recognises that the National Archives of Australia maintains the master version of Check-up and that it may be updated at any time.
  • It is the responsibility of the user to maintain Check-up within the user’s systems.
  • The National Archives of Australia will advise users when new versions of Check-up are available.

Copyright and acknowledgement

  • Copyright in Check-up rests with the Commonwealth of Australia. The National Archives of Australia administers that property. Information entered into Check-up remains the property of the user.
  • The user may not adapt or modify Check-up.
  • Use of Check-up must be acknowledged and cited as: National Archives of Australia, Check-up, version 1.0, August 2007.
  • Check-up may not be used for other purposes – apart from any use as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 – without prior written permission from the National Archives of Australia.
