This publication is a completely revised edition of the Recordkeeping Metadata Standard for Commonwealth Agencies. It describes information about records that the National Archives recommends be captured in EDRM and business systems used by Australian Government agencies.
It differs from the previous standard in that it is based on a multiple-entity model, and allows for the description of up to five separate entities: Record, Agent, Business, Mandate and Relationship.
The National Archives has developed AGRkMS Implementation Guidelines: Exposure Draft . Comments on the exposure draft are welcome. Please lodge your comments with the National Archives Agency Service Centre or email them to recordkeeping@naa.gov.au with ‘AGRkMS Implementation Guidelines’ in the subject line, by 30 September 2010.
