Guidelines for the implementation of the AGLS metadata element set in other jurisdictions

The AGLS Metadata Element Set (AS 5044:2002) provides a set of metadata elements designed to improve visibility, accessibility and interoperability of online information and services.

While Standard AS 5044 describes the AGLS elements and qualifiers, it is not the place to define the detailed criteria by which the elements and qualifiers will be implemented in specific projects or applications by organisations and jurisdictions.

Each jurisdiction may require specific application of AGLS elements and qualifiers to comply with its own legislation, regulations or guidelines. As such, each jurisdiction has published, or will publish, specific advice on the implementation of AS 5044, AGLS Metadata Element Set.
