The Archives has storage facilities across Australia and our holdings are growing. Record storage is a vital component of good records management and is one of our key preservation strategies.

The Standard for the Physical Storage of Commonwealth Records (pdf, 200kb) specifies the requirements for the physical storage of Commonwealth records of archival value. The Archives developed this standard to ensure the proper management and preservation of Commonwealth records over time.
