* Charges are applied to all files in a series based on the size of most files in the series.

Services for which no charges apply

There is no charge for: entry to our reading rooms; inspection of original records or copies (eg microfilm, video, audiotape); applications for readers tickets; the use of finding aids, databases, PCs; assistance by staff; applying for access to records or applying for internal reconsideration of access decisions.

We also supply certified copies of records at no charge additional to that of copying.

Payment

Prepayment is required for all copying. Payment (in AUD) may be made by cash, cheque, money order, bank draft, EFTPOS or credit card. We accept MasterCard and Visa ( a $10 minimum applies) and we will accept payment by phone.

You may order and pay for the copying of whole files listed on RecordSearch, using eCommerce.

A tax invoice may be issued for amounts over $50. If you require a tax invoice please let us know when you place your order.

Other things you should know

Copy quotes will be supplied upon request provided you can give us citation details that identify the individual record(s) you would like copied. You can use an online reference inquiry request form to request copies of records.

We may not permit records to be copied if this is likely to result in their damage.

Researchers may use their own digital cameras to copy records. A permission to photograph records form must be completed prior to taking photographs.
