Assistant Director-General, Executive and Information Services

Len joined the National Archives as Director, Governance, Risk and Compliance in October 2010. Prior to joining the Archives he was a management consultant in 2009 and 2010, where he worked for Commonwealth clients. Before this he spent most of his working career within the Australian Public Service.

Over the last 20 years Len has worked in a number of management positions within the Commonwealth, including Chief Operating Officer, Australian Research Council; Chief Information Officer, Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA); General Manager, Cultural Development Branch, DCITA; General Manager, Corporate Services, DCITA; Finance and Evaluation Manager, AusIndustry; and Chief Internal Auditor, Department of Industry, Science and Technology.

As Assistant Director-General, Executive and Information Services, Len has responsibility for a number of sections including: Business Systems and Innovation, ICT Infrastructure Support and Systems, International and Strategic Liaison, Legal Services and Strategic Planning and Governance; and the oversight of the National Archives' state and territory offices.
