The National Archives of Australia has welcomed the announcement of the winning design concept for Immigration Place Australia.
The site for the project sits directly outside the National Archives' Parkes building, formerly known as East block – the first Canberra building to house government departments.
The National Archives wishes Immigration Place Australia well for the project. It also looks forward to continuing discussions about potential collaboration to enhance public access to immigration records held in the Archives' collection.
