This model was presented to Lord Richard Gardiner Casey as Governor-General of Australia by Dr Kurt H Debus, Director of the John F Kennedy Space Center, NASA. The Saturn V was the largest launch vehicle ever produced. In July 1969, a Saturn V launched the crew of Apollo 11 to the first manned landing on the moon.
